Burford welcomes visitors and will try to accommodate any individual or small groups wishing to play. However, please note that we take only limited bookings for visitors and County Card users. Please telephone the Pro Shop (01993 822344) to take advantage of this facility.
It is advisable to telephone the Pro shop (number as above) in advance to check for availability of tee times as we have a full diary during the main part of the season with visiting societies, inter-club matches and Members’ competitions often being held.
There are two starting points, the first and tenth and these are generally dependent on the time of starting and whether a 2-ball or 3-4-ball. Whilst we do not insist on handicap certificates we do ask that our visitors can play to an adequate standard. Furthermore, we ask that they understand the etiquette of the game and the Rules of Golf.
Please note that mobile phones are not allowed on the course or in the Clubhouse.
We have a dress code at the Club and ask that you follow it. A jacket and tie is preferred men's wear for Sunday luncheon. Golf clubs are notorious places to attract thieves – please ensure when you visit that any valuables (including clubs) are locked away whilst not in use. Any such items are left on the premises at the owner’s risk. As a means of deterring thieves, we do operate with security locks on our entrance door and to the doors to the locker rooms.
Green fees are paid in the Pro Shop and may be by cash, cheque or by card.
