 Burford is host to many visiting societies during the course of a year and we offer excellent facilities for such days. We are extremely fortunate to have an extremely attractive yet playable course, with superb greens and fairways that are a pleasure to play on.As a measure of the popularity of golf days at Burford, many of our visiting groups have been with us for many years. If you have a specific day in mind, then early booking is essential. Most societies take the opportunity of booking for the following year immediately following their round! Burford not only possesses a course that discerning golfers wish to return to play time and time again, but this is complemented by a superb catering and bar facility. The majority of our public rooms were recently renovated to a very high standard in 2001 and offer comfortable yet relaxed surroundings. Our staff assure you and your visiting group of a very warm welcome. Please ask if you have any special requirements. Golf Society Rates for 2008 27/36 holes golf £38 per head. Catering: breakfast £2.25 - £6.50 lunch £4.95 - £9.50 evening meal from £14.00. 18 holes golf £30 per head Catering: see above. Please note that the minimum catering charge is £14.00 per head. Other rates are available. Please contact the Secretary for details. WE STILL HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF DATES FOR 2008. PLEASE PHONE KAREN ON 01993 825765 FOR FURTHER DETAILS. Start Times We normally reserve tees from 8.30 and 1.30 for 36 holes or 10.00 and 1.30 for 27 holes. Afternoon starts are preferred for 18 hole groups. Dress Rules The normal Club Dress Rules apply for visitors. Payments Payment may be by cash/cheque/card and is settled on the day. Max/Minimum Numbers The maximum number for a society is 40 and the minimum is 16 players for 27/36-hole packages and 20 for 18-holes. Deposit A deposit of £150 is required upon confirmation of booking. Day Societies are accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and are limited on Thursdays. |
